I wanted to translate the ease and liveliness of my paintings in to a three-dimensional form. Ink sketches of initial playful beginnings inspired me to weave “twigs” from black clay to basketlike sculptures. Interestingly the reference to home came to the surface again. The NESTS were born. Abstract structures about interiors and exteriors.
